My 2011 Goals Progress

1. Make "being active" a part of my everyday life

This one is progressing well! I've been walking most days and bought a pool pass for the first time. My plan is to use the joy of swimming as a reward for working up to walking TO the pool. It's a 1.8 mile trip one way, so I know I can do it. I'm excited to go swimming for the fist time in FOREVER. Yay for water in the summertime!

2. Make my heart feel better - volunteer more often...

This one is doing well, too. I'm probably averaging once every week or every other week for 2-3 hours. It does my heart good every time I go. I put in some solid labor-intensive work earlier this week and felt so good afterward. Love the puppies & kitties!

3. Make eating healthy more fun

I haven't been able to experiment much with this one because we've not been cooking 'cause our oven smells like mouse. Blech! I'm still doing the frozen meals for every meal but breakfast, so I feel like I'm on the right track. It's not fun, but it's effective and not horrible. :)

4. Regain control of our finances

Oy. I'll get back to you on this one. :)

5. ENJOY life - find JOY in the moments this year

I really am trying to do this one & feel pretty good about it. I'm doing lots of craft projects and getting out a little more, learning how to meditate and enjoying life around me more.

So, yay! Doing pretty well for 2011, I think. How about you guys?

hey good progress!

well here's my progres

1- loose 15lbs by June 1 2011 = this is not going to happen, i'm stuck at 10lbs lost, i may have to revise this to 5lbs by sept 1?

2- start my exercise regimen back up and not just running in the 'hood = it helps that the weather is nicer, but i'm still just running in the 'hood, but i've added cycling. that counts right?

3- eat better to loose weight. = it helps that pete is on weight watchers, so our dinners are much healthers. healthy FTW!

4- track food and exercise on sparkpeople.com - excercise yes, food, not always

5- take at least one class per week that's the same day/type. - still doing this, taking belly dancing and really enjoying it.
